HISTORICAL BARCELONA

The old town of Barcelona is a beautiful medieval integration or whole. This tour includes a detailed visit to the Gothic quarter and Cathedral, as well as the Picasso Museum and the basilica of Santa María del Mar.

This is a walk to visit the Cathedral and its cloister, the Plaza Sant Felip Neri, Bishop Trurita Street (Carrer del Bisbe), Plaza Sant Jaume, and Plaza del Rey. The tour continues to the Ribera district were we can find the Montcada Street, and where there are the best medieval palaces that were once residences of rich merchants. We then stop in the Baro palaces of Castellet, Aguilar and Meca, which currently house the Picasso Museum (commented tour of the permanent collection).

Finally, we reach the basilica of Santa María del Mar, a beautiful example of Catalan Gothic.
